Easter Egg Hunt 2024

15,000 Candy Filled Eggs—all in the name of making Easter-filled memories.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our Easter Egg Hunt at Grace Cathedral, and a big shout out to all our volunteers and Raising Canes for your support. It helped make the event a success.

Christmas Angel Tree 2023

Because of your love & generosity, we were able to help the Salvation Army with providing Christmas presents to 50 children in our community! 🎁 Thank you to everyone who donated! ❤️

Thanksgiving Food Drive 2023

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Thanksgiving food drive to support the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank. Because of your donations, this year's food drive was a great success. You helped provide 15,621 meals this year.

Fall Family Fun 2023

Back-to-School Drive 2023

Because of your generous donations, we were able to pass out 1000 backpacks full of supplies to local families.

Not long at all! Thank you so much to all who came out to our Easter Egg Hunt at Grace Cathedral yesterday and a big shout out to all our volunteers who helped make it such a success.

Christmas Angel Tree 2022

Thank you to everyone who helped us share the love of Jesus with kids in our community this Christmas. Because of your donations, we could bless 48 children and their guardians this year. There were gifts, cookie decorating, games, a Christmas story and a pizza party with Santa and his elves.

Thanksgiving Food Drive 2022

Grace Cathedral is partnered with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to bring 13,604 meals to our local community this Thanksgiving thanks to your generous donations.

Backpack Giveaway 2022

This year we had a goal to collect 500 book bags for our local community. And because of all your help we passed our goal and collected 750 book bags full of supplies. We have been working with the Akron Public School system and have come up with 3 different schools (Pfeiffer Elementary, Leggett Elementary and East) in need that we will be taking them to.

Christmas Angel Tree 2021

Every Christmas there are children who do not receive gifts because their families are struggling and cannot afford the expense. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program ensures that these children have a wonderful holiday season with their families. This year we had an Angel Tree in our lobby and with your generous support, we helped 60 children have a Merry Christmas.

Thanksgiving Food Drive 2021

Thank you to everyone who donated food or money to our Thanksgiving Food Drive. With your help, we provided 9,860 meals to local families through the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.

Bcakpack Giveaway 2021

Our members and local businesses generously donated school supplies for elementary school and high school students. We distributed 249 backpacks to local schools for students with the supplies they needed to learn this year. The backpacks included crayons, glue, pencils, notebooks, rulers, hand sanitizer, and many other items.

We received a nice thank you from our friends at Betty Jane School.

Food Giveaway 2020

With our food give-aways, we were able to partner with the USDA Farmers to Families program. The food giveaways were at both our Cuyahoga Falls and Akron locations. Local police and fire departments helped with the distribution.
