Thanks to the overwhelming support from our sponsors, we were able to fill over 1,000 backpacks with essential school supplies. Volunteers came together to assemble the backpacks, each one packed with love. Rev. Chris and Rev. Steve led a heartfelt prayer over the backpacks for the kids and families who would receive them, blessing each one for the upcoming school year.

The event kicked off at the Resource Fair with an incredible turnout, we we were able to successfully distribute 245 backpacks. There was joy and excitement as families arrived. The volunteers were ready to welcome them with open arms and bright smiles. The children eagerly picked out their favorite backpacks, each one thoughtfully packed with notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other necessary supplies. Alongside the backpacks, we had delicious cookies and cakepops for the kids, made and donated by some of our amazing volunteers.

Despite the rain, the Backpack giveaway at Grace Cathedral-Akron was a tremendous success. With umbrellas in hand, our volunteers happily distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to families in the area. Thanks to the generous support of our volunteers and sponsors, we were able to distribute over 730 backpacks and an abundance of school supplies to the children. The smiles on the faces of the students and the gratitude expressed by their families made the event truly memorable.
